Yes, you can sync your Windows Phone with a Mac

The Windows Phone Mac Connector lets you sync all your content to and from your Windows Phone with incredible ease. It is required to update to the next release of Windows Phone. If you use a PC then take a look at the Zune software here.
The question that Mac users always ask me is ‘does Windows Phone sync with my Mac’. It is a very reasonable question, as your personal computer is used to sync, backup and update your phone. The good news is yes, Windows Phone and Macs are perfectly compatible.
If you are currently thinking of getting a Windows Phone, but use a Mac, then don’t worry. The Windows Phone Mac Connector is a great tool for managing your phone and all the content that goes onto your phone. We gave it a whirl ourselves and synced our Windows Phones issue-free.
The application packs plenty of sync features, allowing sync with Aperture photo software, drag and drop files, ringtone transfers, video conversion, access to the Marketplace, full backup and restore, podcast syncing, photo import and of course, iTunes import.
The app means you can choose Windows Phone even if you don’t use a Windows PC. The Windows Phone Mac Connector is available in the Mac App Store for free.
If you currently dual boot to Windows on your Mac computer then you can download the Zune software, a fantastic bit of kit that lets you manage all your media content as well as giving you access to millions of tracks with Zune Pass. Find out more about Zune in our post here.

So the Mac client gets proper ringtone support but us Windozers have to manually edit files to get custom ringtones? There is something inherently wrong with that!
Glad to see the door to the Macinverse is wide open, however.

Why can’t Mac just get Zune – would be a lot easier
