Tell the world how much you love your Windows Phone

Posted October 13, 2011

customerreviews

We really want to hear your thoughts and opinions about your Windows Phone – so we’ve launched customer reviews on our blog and Facebook page.

To celebrate we’re holding a competition to find the best review submitted in the first week of launch. The winner will get a Windows Phone-themed goodie bag including a square umbrella (just in time for winter) USB stick, notebook and stickers. All you have to do is write a review about your Windows Phone, telling us exactly what you think of your phone, and our panel of judges will determine the best reviews based on quality, relevancy and style.

So, which of the hundreds of new features in the latest release make you smile? If you’re in love with Live Tiles, passionate about the People Hub or mad on multi-tasking, we want to know. Equally, if there are things you think we can do better please tell us. You can review any Windows Phone available in the UK, including the brand new HTC Radar and HTC TITAN.

We thought we’d get some people seriously in the know when it comes to Windows Phone to help judge the competition, so we asked WPCentral and Pocket-Lint founder, Stuart Miles, to take a look at the reviews with us. For some inspiration, why not check out WPCentral’s and Pocket-Lint’s reviews of Windows Phone.

Head over to our customer reviews page or the Facebook reviews app to enter now. Please make sure your review meets the T&Cs, which you can find here.

Good luck – we can’t wait to hear what you think.

I have been a smartphone user for a number of years now, the first was a Windows Mobile 5 device, which was groundbreaking at the time. Qtek 9100. Then I moved to a Symbian device, was more stable but not as integrated with Windows. The the biggest progressing of all was it iOS, wow, what a revelation for an OS which is well documented. After my contract finished with iPhone I decided to shop around, spotted WP7, had a look, did some research and decided to go for it. I didn’t want Android, an unregulated market place and ‘sticky’ interface. I tried Blackberry, only the current OS (7) was good but very overpriced.

I am delighted that I have chosen WP7 via the HTC Mozart, updated to Mango. It is smooth, reliable, the integration is impressive with Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, not just the actual links between the different networks and a contact but the People feature. Selecting someone gives all about them, what they have tweeted, what they have said in Facebook, their LinkedIn details all. The Marketplace. is good and growing.

I love the live tiles, that is the way for all mobile operating OS’s surely. An at a glance visual indication of all that’s important.

And finally it can sync with iTunes and my Mac! I am sure there is more to come. Oh yes and by the way, you can ask it questions via speech (wonder where I saw that on another phone recently!) and dictate texts, send them etc.
