Stay away from Windows Phone 7, Blendtec!

Posted August 25, 2010

blend

Whenever a new gadget is released, a product will go through the regular motions; the product is launched, a video of someone un-boxing the product is posted to YouTube, people blog reviews of the product, and then finally, it is blended.

…Blended. It’s a bit of a leap, from genuine excitement to own the hottest gadget, to the twisted mindset that one should vaporize it into a million bits and create gadget smoke – ‘don’t breath this’.

The man behind this craze is CEO of Bendtec, Tom Dickson. As you can see in the video below, this man loves to blend, he’s a blending pro. To save your eyes and minds we have chosen to use an example video destroying the most hated musical instrument of the millennia! But just think about the expensive gadgets he blends in the rest of his free time…

This has us scared.

The Windows Phone 7 is out later this year, and with so many waiting to get their hands on the phone, it would be upsetting to watch it get shredded by Tom, while he smiles and offers the health and safety advice not to breath ‘Windows Phone 7 smoke’.

While it may be fun to see rival products blended, it’s not fun to see it happen to our favourite phone. Classic playground mentality. So in the spirit of NIMBYism, we ask you Tom… please don’t blend out lovely phone! Thanks.
